I've been putting off writing an introduction because, frankly, I've been busy with other things and I really would have preferred to start the blog off with a "bang". However, doing so means the page remains naked until I find the time to write something useful. I cannot stand a naked page so I thought I could set the tone of the blog by writing a brief introduction.
Why Hünters and Matadórs?
When I got the idea to create a blog I wanted to create a name that stimulated curiosity, was catchy, and of course clever. I played with several names before settling on the one you see here. 'Hunters' refers to bear hunters. A matador is a principal bullfighter in a bullfight. Get it? Hunters and Matadors is simply a take on the incessant tug-of-war between bearish investors and bullish investors. As a commodities broker I chase or hunt bearish and bullish opportunities that may present profitable positions for my clients.
